About Brageteatret

Brageteatret is a Norwegian regional theatre, owned by the municipality of Drammen and the county of Buskerud, based in the venue Union Scene in Drammen. Brageteatret is a touring theatre, and is, among other things, responsible for the performing arts program of The Cultural Rucksack in Buskerud.

The theatre was established in 2000 and produces professional performing arts, primarily for children and youth. The theatre consists of a small core of employees, currently corresponding to eight full-time jobs. In addition it hires artistic staff and other staff on a per project basis.

November 30 2010 Brageteatret's general assembly made the decision that Brageteatret is to be a regional theatre for the county of Buskerud, expanding the target group to also including adults, but that the theatre still is to emphasis theatre for children and youth in particular.
