Someone is Going to Come

Someone is Going to Come is a play by Jon Fosse, written in 1992. The original title in Norwegian is Nokon kjem til å komme.

Someone is Going to Come is about a couple buying a house far away from others to be alone together. They want to live together, just the two of them. But it turns out that the man they bought the house from lives nearby. The man, who is a bachelor, takes interest in the woman, and everything falls out of balance. Someone is Going to Come discusses love and jealousy.

Someone is Going to Come had its world premiere at The Norwegian Theatre April 26 1996.

Someone is Going to Come was the first play Jon Fosse wrote; it was completed in 1992. However, the onstage production of it was the third production of a Fosse play, after And We'll Never Be Parted (written in 1993 and performed at The National Stage in 1994) and The Name (written in 1994 and performed at The National Stage in 1995).
