At Black Box Teaters homepage the following, among other things, is written about The Visionary:
"The mother of war is the vision of power, just like the child of war is the lack of power. In between stands the soldier at the frontier. He has to do what is unworthy.Loss of dignity leaves him incapable of forgiving or being forgiven. The ability to forgiveness is the privilege of the strong.
'What does it really mean to forget........? To pile up as many new memories they grow to a heap, hiding the old one. Or is rather the opposite valid, to ponder and dwell so strongly with what happened, it transforms and into something else.'
(S. Sæterbakken, the quote has been translated into the English for Sceneweb by Lillian Bikset.)
(...)
The Visionary is inspired by Holberg's Jeppe of the Hill."
