Musical Musikal
Musical Musikal (2002) was a musical produced by The Norwegian Theatre, a collage using excerpts from other, familiar musicals. It was put together by Daniel Bohr and Ola E. Bø. Daniel Bohr directed it.
With Musical Musikal The Norwegian Theatre offered a prologue to the celebration of the 90th anniversary of the theatre, in 2003. With the production The Norwegian Theatre wanted to illuminate its musical theatre tradition from Ivar Aasen to Tom Waits.

"The musical theatre or the singing theatre, the operetta, the musical and the cabaret really is a fundamental pillar in the repertoire of The Norwegian Theatre, as it has been from the start in 1913 until today. Let us show some examples from the long repertoire list, just to give the audience a sense of an idea what they may look forward to in this production on the main stage, which will become a program of individual acts; The Heir, Fjelleventyret* (The Mountain Adventure), Oklahoma, Showboat, Annie Get Your Gun, Trost i taklampa* (Thrush in the Chandelier), West Side Story, Fiddler on the Roof, Man of La Mancha, Når groværet kjem* (When the good weather comes), Snart gryr ein morgon* (Soon morning breaks), Cats, Les Misérables, Så seile vi på Mjøsa* (And so we sail Mjøsa), Jesus Christ Superstar, The Phantom of the Opera, The Threepenny Opera, The Black Rider - and the list goes further on.
Some names are central in this nice-tasting salad, of composers and writers, and a central arranger and composer who has made his mark in Norwegian musical theatre for a generation, will in particular be a feature. Obviously we are thinking of Egil Monn-Iversen."
