Rådstua Teaterhus
Rådstua Teaterhus is a theatre house in Tromsø.
For the past 40 years theatre has been performed in Rådstua, but prior to being use for culture the building had a past as the municipal building of Tromsø, a police station and a prison.
Throughout the past 20 years a creative community of professional performing artists and young talents has been based in Rådstua Teaterhus. Rådstua has a particular responsibility for performing arts within the municipality of Tromsø, and collaborates closely with RadArt, the regional networking organisation for performing artists. The venue also hosts a professional centre for theatre production, an independent, experimental culture school provider for children and youth, also offering counselling for voluntary theatre companies.
