Thalia Teater managed a private theatre in Oslo, with its headquarters in Chateau Neuf from 1985 to 2008. In addition to productions in these facilities, the company produced touring performances, plus productions at Chat Noir, Edderkoppen and Scene West Victoria in Oslo. Outside of Oslo Thalia produced productions in Bergen, Trondheim and Tønsberg.
In 2008 Thalia Teater had to move from Chateau Neuf after 23 years of activity, and in August 2010 the theatre took over the management of Chat Noir in Oslo.
