Bergen National Opera (BNO) is Norway's second largest professional opera company, managed as a foundation. The company had the name Den Nye Opera AKA The New Opera from it was established in 2005, until it changed its name from and including August 2012.

Bergen National Opera presents opera and musical theatre from all époques and in different formats. The main venue is Grieghallen with Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra as the opera orchestra.
In addition BNO stages opera at the fortress of Bergenhus, The National Stage and other arenas in Bergen, Norway and abroad. BNO also provides children and youth with an expansive offering.
