The Feast at Solhaug
The Feast at Solhaug is a play by Henrik Ibsen (1855). The original title in Norwegian was Gildet på Solhaug. The play was written in 1855 and published in 1856. It had its world premiere onstage at Det Norske Theater (later called The National Stage) in Bergen January 2 1856. Ibsen worked as an instructor at the theatre at the time, and he personally oversaw the production.
