Woof ! Art is an art historical lecture for children. The very passionate art lover Jeanette is charmingly enthusiastically determined to lecture about the dog’s central place in the history or arts.
During this humorous humpty dumpty travel through the history of arts Jeanette will teach us about Edvard Munch's dog head, impressionism, pointillism and a lots of other things, and yes it all includes a dog or two. Sometimes dogs can look like people and other times people look like dogs.
A playful sound backdrop is accompanying the lecture. The audience can expect a number of art historical surprises and revolutionary new interpretations of well-known works, united with magnificent slapstick comedy and magical sound and music. The performance is played by one actor, Anne Storberget and Guandaline Sagliocco alternating in the role.
Sagliocco Ensemble, based in Porsgrunn, consists of Guandaline Sagliocco and Håkan Islinger. They could harvest a lot of praise for this performance. Since opening it has won the award for best performance during the renowned theatre festival Momix in France, and it was nominated for Gullsekken, the award for best Cultural Rucksack production, among other things. The ensemble has been touring extensively with its performances for children and youth, visiting France, Canada and the Faeroe Islands, among other places.
Woof ! Art by Sagliocco Ensemble was supported by the Norwegian Ministry for Foreign Affairs/MFA (travel grant/performing arts).

Varden, rating the show worthy of six pips on the dice:
"'Woof ! Art can't be retold. It has to be experienced. If you feel the need to laugh, this is a performance you should see."
