Super Night Shot
Gob Squad visited The Open Theatre (Det Åpne Teater) the autumn of 2006, and Avant Garden the autumn of 2007, with the reality performance project Super Night Shot, created in collaboration with Volksbühne (Berlin). Super Night Shot was made there and then. One hour prior to performance the four actors entered the streets of the town they were visiting, equipped with each their video camera and some props. The performers in Gob Squad followed the same dramaturgy every time, but everything else was improvised on the spot. The improvisation ended in the theatre, where the audience received them before the performance started.

Super Night Shot by and with Gob Squad was selected to the performance of the year in Berlin in 2003. Since then it has visited more than 50 European cities.

Gob Squad’s visiting performance in The Open Theatre (Det Åpne Teater) with Super Night Shot was supported by British Council, Goethe-Institut, Arts Council Norway and Pecunia AS.
Super Night Shot was supported by Volksbuehne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz Berlin and Arts Council of England East Midlands.
The visiting performance in Teaterhuset Avant Garden was presentedthrough the Performing Arts Network (of Norway).
