Plopp
Gyrid Axe Øvsteng developed the performance for children Plopp (literally, the sound of water dripping) as part of the project Kunst for barn* (Art for children), a collaborative project between The Open Theatre (Det Åpne Teater) and The Norwegian Institute for Children's Literature. The stage text Plopp is about the girl Plopp who is afraid of water. Plopp was performed with the dance performance Lars under the title of Teaterselskap* (Theatre Party) in Ibsen Theatre and The Open Theatre (Det Åpne Teater) in March 2009.

About the production Teaterselskap* (Theatre Party): After the first half of the performance had been performed, drama pedagogue Lisa Nagel walked the children through the production. The children were allowed to make something they thought others would fear. The art made by the children was then exhibited as an illuminated stage decoration for the second half of the show.
