Springdance
Springdance (1983-2012) was an annual contemporary dance and performance festival, arranged every April in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
In 2013 Springdance merged with Festival a/d Werfand became SPRING Performing Arts Festival.
Springdance originated from the festival STEP which was established in 1978.

Springdance was the platform in the Netherlands for new developments in international contemporary dance and performance. Every year the Springdance brought a world of current international dance to the city of Utrecht in a two-week long festival of events, performances, discussions and education projects.
Many of the young artists featured in the festival were supported through the international development program, Springdance/dialogue, or presented new work co-produced by Springdance/works. Springdance also ran an ongoing program of production residencies and creative community projects in the city of Utrecht.
