More

Hooman Sharifi/Impure Company’s fifth production we failed to hold this reality in mind is a solo performance based in the personal and the private. Sharifi chooses a distanced retrospective glance and searches for an expression for the personal material.

In the solo production we failed to hold this reality in mind by Hooman Sharifi/Impure Company Hooman Sharifi worked using his personal story and a series of questions:

- How can we express the personal without creating small-mindedness?

- How can we present the ethnic without creating difference?

- How can we create empathy?

- How can we present identity or create identity?

- What is ethnic background?

- Is ethnic just ethnic?

we failed to hold this reality in mind was presented in collaboration with ISFiT (The International Student Festival in Trondheim) and was supported by Arts Council Norway.
