Eilertsen & Granados Teaterkompani

Eilertsen & Granados Teaterkompani was established in 2006 by Andreas Eilertsen and Cristina Granados, both with a background from Teater NOR. The productions A Wee One and Circus Granados was brought on from Teater NOR. 

Eilertsen & Granados Teaterkompani is located in Stamsund in the Lofoten Islands. Eilertsen & Granados Teaterkompani has its background in the physically expressive performing arts, and the members have extensively explored the range between music and theatre.

In 2007 Eilertsen & Granados Teaterkompani opened the production called Winding. In 2008 they also established Eilertsen Quintet, mixing the musical expressions of jazz and Northern Norwegian traditional folk music.

In 2009 Eilertsen & Granados Teaterkompani got its own venue in the old cinema house in Stamsund. The house was built in 1934 and was managed as a movie house until 1964 when the new cinema Gimle was built. In 2010 Eilertsen & Granados Teaterkompani opened the production Julio's Labyrinths. It is inspired by Julio Cortazar's life and work.

Eilertsen & Granados Teaterkompani cooperates with the county of Nordland about stage instruction in Lofoten. The work is directed towards youth in particular, via national projects such as DUS (Den Unge Scenen, a network of fourteen theatres across the country developing and promoting youth theatre in Norway).
