Franzisca Aarflot Productions is the self-employed business run by the director, playwright and producer Franzisca Aarflot.
Franzisca Aarflot was one of the founders of Kirkeristen Lille Teater in 1984, and later of Teater Ad Libitum. She headed The Open Theatre (Det Åpne Teater) 1999-2008.

Franzisca Aarflot has extensive experience with contemporary drama in Norway and abroad. Her director work is marked by musicality, rhythm and composition. She takes use of acrobatics, martial techniques, yoga, movement improvisation and dance as effects when integrating situation and text. As a playwright she varies between the poetic, the political and the brutally realistic.
Franzisca Aarflot considers the theatre a tool for recognition and change, an arena for debate and a workshop for the future. To succeed theatre has to communicate - and a generous helping of charm and entertainment won’t stand in the way of political theatre or serious subjects, she finds.
