Linedans* (Tightrope Walking)

Linedans* (Tightrope Walking) (2002) is a one-act play by Gyrid Axe Øvsteng, developed at The Open Theatre (Det Åpne Teater) as part of the Pilot Project for Playwrights (2001-2003).

Line is about to die. Next to her deathbed stand her parents Var (literally: Cautious) and Streng (literally: Strict) and the boyfriend Finn (a Norwegian name, as well as the word for find). The latter three are all warring their own and the others’ relationships to the living and dying Line.
