In the playbill for Aladdin and the Magical Lamp the following, among other things, is written:
"Aladdin and the Magical Lamp is one of the best-known fairytales from One Thousand and One Nights. The poor tailor's son is useless and lazy, but one day he witnesses the king's beautiful daughter Badr-al-Budur bathing in the river. The lovely woman is the most beautiful he has ever seen, and he falls madly in love. The same day, a wizard shows up in his home… There will be excitement, magic, gold and glitter, and a beautiful, young princess. And of course, a young man who tries to win the princess' heart."
The role of Aladdin's mother was played by Kjersti Germeten.
Sceneweb refers to the other puppets registered from this production. These are Aladdin, Princess Badr-al-Budur, the king and the wizard.

The head of Aladdin's mother was likely shaped from Styrofoam and fortified with cotton gauze and glue. It looks as if the face was covered with thin glove skin. The puppet has visible stitches in the face (around the end of the nose), adding character to it. Eyes and eyebrows are clearly marked, and the pupils shine. The puppet wears a scarf around her head, and uneven locks of hair protrude from the scarf.
The dress is simple, and made from a cotton fabric. Beneath the dress, the puppet had shoulders or a chest area to which the arms were fastened.

Aladdin's mother was a rod puppet with a round rod fastened to its head. The round rod was prolonged to the puppet's chest area. The puppeteer held onto this round rod to steer the puppet. Rods or piano threads were fastened to each of the puppet's hands, so that the arms could be moved.
