The head of Little My was shaped from Styrofoam, fortified with cotton gauze and glue, polished and then painted. She had a head of hair, possibly made from coarse yarn. Her dress was from a coarsely woven fabric, with a tall waist and a wide skirt. Her two arms were made from the same fabric as the dress. The puppet had two legs and feet with shoes on, and these could be used to move her in performance.
The description is based on photos.
Little My had a rod through her head and her whole body. The rod was longer than her legs, so that the hand of the puppeteer was not visible. The puppet could be steered by the rod. The puppet had a small shoulder area, where her dress was fastened. Little My had arms, but only one of them had a rod of piano strings fastened to her hand, so that it could be steered. The other arm hung loosely down. It may seem as if Little My had a joint in her ankles, to add flexibility to her shoes.
