Types of materiale

The head and body of Mrs. Fillyjonk (Norwegian: Filifjonk) was cut from plastic foam, after which the puppet's head and body was covered with fabric, in an uneven, partly striped structure. The head was fastened to a rod penetrating the body. The hair of Mrs. Fillyjonk was likely made from a natural material, possibly carded wool, and the eyes were likely made from marbles or shiny buttons.

Construction/technique

The head and body of Mrs. Fillyjonk were made of plastic foam, with a rod going through both parts. The puppeteer held a prolonged part of the rod, steering the puppet. This construction has limited possibilities in performance, but it is possible that the puppet designer had added some technical finesses. This is unknown.
