The Open Theatre (Det Åpne Teater) celebrated its 20 year anniversary during The Ibsen Festival 2006, inviting to a gala with a worldwide premiere of Jon Fosse’Der borte* (Over There), specially written for the occasion and directed by Kai Johnsen: An elderly married couple is out wandering. They are on their way to a mountaintop, there, there, far away. The one they have always talked about mounting. Together. For the first time. For the last time?
