About Peer Gynt

Peer Gynt (1969) was a theatre production by The National Stage, based on the play by Henrik Ibsen. The production was staged at the theatre's main stage, Store Scene.

Finn Kvalem directed it.

Jon Eikemo interpreted the title role.

Anne Gullestad played the role of Aase, and Live Hov played Solveig.

In collaboration with The Norwegian Touring Theatre, The National Stage sent a simplified version of the production on tour in 1970. In the simplified version, only four actors took part, increased to five during the second part of the tour. You may read more about the touring version here.
