Rust

Rust by Katma: Forgotten stories, childhood memories, black blood, the smell of oranges, toyguns, scars about to heal and the longing for being a beloved child.

The script was written with a desire to say something about things that can not be said. It was a performance for adults played by children. As theatre it is meant to be somewhere on the borderline between pain and entertainment.

More

Press coverage

"Holy Father. I use the expression Holy Father, because I do not have other words. What an achievement, what a force! Katrine Strøm produces theatre in a genre of her own. The art created in Dverberg holds an international level." Hege I. Hansen. Nordlys

"Must-see theatre. Rust must be some of the very strongest I have seen." Tom Inge Andersen. Harstad Tidende

"This is the first press preview I have ever attended in which the journalists rise and applaud for five minutes after the viewing. The children have treated us brutally, they have yelled and cried, been angry and desperate, nude with their clothes on. The next time I meet Katrine M. E. Strøm I will thank her for the strongest cultural experience I have ever had." Lasse Jangås. Editor of culture, Nordlys

"In a swarm of world artists from 20 nations, it is remarkable how Katrine Maria Eponine Strøm and her young actors of Andøya have been those rewarded with most of the six pips on the dice-ratings in this newspaper as well as in Nordlys, and whom has attracted the most attention by Norwegian Broadcasting." Bård Michalsen. editor in Harstad Tidende.
