"In An Enemy of the People, we meet Doctor Katrine Stockmann, who discovers that the water of the town's great pride, The Bath, is poisoned. She thinks she has made a great discovery for which the town will thank her. But her more pragmatic brother, mayor Peter Stockmann, shows the citizens how much time and money this will cost the society, and that the citizens themselves are those who have to carry the costs for this. The stage is set for a classic battle between idealism and pragmatism."
