At the webpage of Daughters of Thalia/Agnete G. Haaland the following, among other things, is written about A View from the Ground:

"Martha Gellhorn is considered among the foremost war correspondents. She covered all the great wars of the world from the Spanish civil war in 1937 to the Panama war in 1990.

She was convinced that a journalist's assignment was penetrating the public façade.

She was furious with anybody who claimed journalists could be objective.

She thought that the fundamental is always to challenge any authority. Any establishment. Any government. In particular when the authorities start wars. When they have decided somebody is to be killed. That others are to die.

The script is based on Martha Gellhorn's own notes and articles."

The company directs thanks to the community centre Sagene Samfunnshus and the culture centre in Bærum called Bærum Kulturhus for rehearsal facilities, goodwill and help.

Supported by Arts Council Norway, the Freedom of Expression Foundation Fritt Ord, The Fund for Performing Artists, the grant called Scheiblers Legat and The Norwegian Actors' Equity Association/NAEA.
