In Tone ! Art - images from a piano by Sagliocco Ensemble the audience meets Tone Klang (played by Guandaline Sagliocco) with the best piano player of the world, Russian Natasha Pavlova (played by Anette Röde Hagnell). Tone Klang is passionately obsessed with the composer Modest Mussorgsky's famous work Pictures at an Exhibition.
Together the two bring the audience along into a musical and visual universe, in which shadow theatre and video animations lead Tone and Natasha through past and presence. The work is performed, interpreted, gesticulated, made fun of, cried and sung.
Tone ! Art - images from a piano by Sagliocco Ensemble was supported by spenn.no, Arts Council Norway, the county of Telemark, The Fund for Performing Artists, the bank Sparebank 1 Grenland, the municipality of Porsgrunn and The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (travel grant/performing arts).
