A Doll's House

A Doll's House was a theatre production staged by The National Theatre in 1971, based on the play by Henrik Ibsen. The production was performed at The National Theatre's main stage.

Edith Roger directed it.

Ingerid Vardund interpreted the role of Nora.

The 1971 version of A Doll's House by The National Theatre toured Japan from September 23 1971, a tour of 11 performances in grand theatres in Tokyo, Kobe, Kyoto, Osaka, Nagoya, Kokura and Fukuoka. It was recorded by Japanese TV and later selected as "TV event of the year" in Japan.

The production also visited The City Theatre (Burgtheater) in Vienna, where it was performed twice, and The Royal Danish Theatre of Copenhagen, where it was performed thrice. It also visited Kiel.

A Doll's House also went on tour with The Norwegian Touring Theatre.
