The Master Builder

The Master Builder was a theatre production staged by The National Theatre in 1950, based on the play by Henrik Ibsen.

Halfdan Christensen directed it.

August Oddvar acted in the title role.

Liv Dommersnes, who at the time used her maiden name Liv Strømsted, acted in the role of Hilde Wangel.

The production had been performed as a touring performance with The Norwegian Touring Theatre earlier the same year. As Halfdan Christensen died three days before the planned opening at The National Theatre the opening also served as a performance in memory of him.
