Berlin 1961 included performers, director and the musical director from NIE alongside company members of JES. Berlin 1961 was commissioned by Junges Ensemble Stuttgart (JES) and is set in Berlin in the first few years after the wall was built.
Berlin 1961 by NIE was supported by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs/MFA (travel grant/performing arts).
