Vivarium Studio
Vivarium Studio is a French performing arts company based in Paris. Vivarium Studio was started in 2003 by the stage designer Philippe Quesne. The company makes productions in which the visual onstage expression is central. Vivarium Studio works with performance art as well as theatre productions. Vivarium Studio is often referred to as a theatre laboratory.

Since the beginning in 2003 Vivarium Studio and Philippe Quesne have toured their productions internationally to great critical acclaim. For L´Effet de Serge (2007) the company got the Obie Award in 2010, the theatre award given out by Village Voice for best theatre production. Other productions are Big Bang (2010) and La Mélancolie des dragons (2008). Vivarium Studio made its debut with the production La Démangeaison des Ailes (2003). Besides Quesne the company consists of five men, one woman and a dog.
