Ensemble 2000
Ensemble 2000 was a Danish contemporary music ensemble established in 1992. Composer Karl Aage Rasmussen initiated it. In 2007 Ensemble 2000 changed its name to Scenatet.

A group of young composers and musicians connected to The Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus, Denmark established Ensemble 2000 modelled after The Elsinore Players. Both ensembles consisted of flute, clarinet, piano, guitar, drums, violin and cello.
Ensemble 2000 commissioned and performed worldwide premieres of more than 50 works by young Danish and foreign composers. The ensemble developed into a corner stone in the local music circles in Aarhus as well as in the national environment for contemporary music.
