Studium Actoris is a professional theatre company established in 1989 in Norway. The company co-operates with individuals and groups from across the arts spectrum, by producing shows, performances, promoting research and organising guest performances, from abroad and inside the country.

Studium Actoris was first founded under the name Polar Plexus. During its existence Studium Actoris has emerged thanks to the content, the broad appeal and then richness of its activity including experimental theatre, research in the art of the actor, comedy, festivals and guest performances from abroad, seminars and workshops aiming to the development of the actor's tools, small and big local events for the people.
Studium Actoris was created by the Italian actor Paolo Martini, the Swiss actor Rolf Heim and the Norwegian actresses Elin Lindberg, Jannicke Stensnes and Ann Kristin Knapstad-Nordberg. Roger Rolin from Institutet för Scenkonst has been the group director and mentor since the very beginning. Today the group artistic stab consists of 2 people, Paolo Martini and Jannicke Stensnes, whose collaboration dates back to 1984 and who has their educational and ethical imprint from Institutet för Scenkonst, Sweden.
Since 1999 Studium Actoris is the promoter and artistic leader for street festival Folk i gata and the performance series SAFT - Scenekunst, where international theatre groups, artists and musicians visit Fredrikstad with their artistic expression.
