"With the exhibition Kiss the Frog! The art of transformation The National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design invites to the international major effort of the summer. The formerly independent institutions The National Gallery, The Museum of Contemporary Art, The Museum of Decorative Arts and Design and The National Museum - Architecture are now joined in The National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design. This makes new exhibition concepts and art experiences possible, across former departments, buildings and traditions.
The exhibition discusses the transformation of the field of art, and the contemporary age in which the borders between artistic genres, materials and techniques are dissolved. A new visual complexity is developing internationally, and the role of architecture and art within the cultural-political field has been changed."
