More

Today contemporary dance is a very wide term, and InTuit interprets it as if all choreography choreographed by contemporary dance artists will be part of the term.

As dance artists the artists in InTuit use their intuition, that and listening, in the creative process, collaboration with other dancers and the meeting with the audience. Hence the name InTuit. The company wishes to create independent productions, productions made in collaboration and workshops connected to the productions. The target group will vary as productions do, but the company wishes to make productions for all age groups. InTuit splits its focus in three main aims:

1)    Create/choreograph projects of one’s own.
2)    Hire external (national and international) choreographers for new projects.
3)    Pedagogical activity: Workshops for children, youth and adults. Both based on repertoire and technique.

InTuit collaborates closely with Stellaris Dance Theatre, the jazz band DripP and the photographer Arthur Arnesen. In 2009 InTuit was sponsored by the private upper secondary school Frisvold Privatgymnas with means for costumes for the choreography Your Dream Doesn't Fit My Dream. InTuit has received support from Arts Council Norway (both for developing choreography and project means), The Audio Visual Fund and The Fund for Performing Artists for projects the company has completed and is still producing.
