The Matchmaker
The Matchmaker is a play by Thornton Wilder. It has been translated into the Norwegian as Kirsten Giftekniv.
The play was originally written as The Merchant of Yonkers, but rewritten and republished using the title The Matchmaker.
The musical Hello, Dolly! by Jerry Herman (music and lyrics) and Michael Stewart (book) is based on this play.
