St. Mark's Church
St. Mark's Church in-the-Bowery has been an important site for contemporary performance events since the 1920s. Danspace Project, founded in 1974, is one of the Church's arts programs, along with the Poetry Project and the Ontological-Hysteric Theater. In its primary function, the Church is home to an active Episcopalian community of worship.
Due to the atypical nature of the performance space, certain guidelines must be followed by all who use Danspace Project’s facilities.
