Klapp!* (Clap!)

Et blunk og forbi* (A blink and then gone)

Klapp! Et blunk og forbi* (Clap! A blink and then gone) was produced by Boa Scenekunst. The two performers brought each their video camera plus instruments on travels around the earth.

The result is a road movie-like performance documenting the meetings with people, natural forces and cultures.  Klapp! Et blunk og forbi is a collage of experiences, reflecting over being a human in a global whole.

In Klapp! Et blunk og forbi* (Clap! A blink and then gone) by Boa Scenekunst Paal Viken Bakke and Elisabeth Helland Larsen have travelled around the earth, each in their way. They wanted to meet youth and hear about their thoughts on the future.

With a clown’s nose in her suitcase Elisabeth Helland Larsen visited Palestinian refugee camps and school classes in Greenland and Zimbabwe.

The puppeteer Paal Viken Bakke brought the badger Pipp on a motor cycle ride to China. The badger Pipp is very sceptical to the future generation’s abilities and intentions. Can we trust The People of Tomorrow? Klapp! Et blunk og forbi aims to be a thought-provoking as well as action-filled performance.

Klapp! Et blunk og forbi by Boa Scenekunst was supported by The Audio Visual Fund, Arts Council Norway, The Fund for Performing Artists, the foundation Kjell Holm, the performance platform Prøvekluten in Volda, the municipality of Ålesund, the county of Møre og Romsdal, The Norwegian Film Institute, The Cultural Rucksack and The Norwegian Actors’ Equity Association’s fund for freelancers.
