Trash (2010) was the new 'blusical' from Grenland Friteater, in which the audience met a worn-down bunch of people filled with recklessness, bitter humour and raw blues. Some fall. Some land on the outside. But not all of them get lost.

In Trash, a bunch of worn-down people met in a worn-down setting. A motley crowd passing time by telling stories; they recount their lives, sing rawly and whisper tenderly about their costly bought experiences, sudden falls and defiant hopes. Why did they end up on the shadow side? How did it happen? And what does it take to get back on one’s feet?
The full ensemble of Grenland Friteater was onstage in the Norrøna Building with guest artists and a band fronted by Mr. Telemark Blues himself, Kåre Virud. Trash was written and directed by Lars Vik, Guttorm Guttormsen composed the music. A blue glance at the welfare society.
