"We are in the close future, a time of artificial intelligence. 86-year-old Marjorie has gotten a prime, a hologram of her late husband Walter, to live with her. With the purpose of recounting their life together, Marjorie feeds the prime with information about her and her family, so that he will be able to get a complex understanding of their story. Eventually, as the interaction between them grow deeper, and is affected by the opportunity to recreate the often painful past, the family begins forming increasingly differing stories about their lives.
Marjorie Prime is a thought-provoking production about memories, manipulation and our insistence that technology helps us surpass death.
The production forces us to pose the questions: What would we remember and what would we forget, if given the opportunity?"
