"Imagine Berlin during the late 1920es: The German capital blossomed for the first time in many years, after inflation and poor economic conditions. Berlin had become a cultural, intellectual centre, with a pulsating nightlife and productive art stage.
Out of this, great German cultural personalities grew. One of them was Bertolt Brecht - one of the greatest playwrights of our time, known for works including The Threepenny Opera, Mother Courage and The Good Person of Szechwan, and an early critic of the growing Nazism and the regime it was to lead to.
(...)
For the first time, you can experience The Norwegian Radio Orchestra at The National Theatre's main stage. With some of The National Theatre's best actors and singers, the orchestra will perform a selection of Brecht and Weill's musical gems, from Germany during the time between wars, and from the time after they had to escape to USA."
