At the webpage of Haugesund Theatre the following, among other things, is written about The World is a Scandal:

"After a hectic decade in the capital, Agnes Ravatn moves with her husband and baby from Frogner to the small Western Norwegian village Valevåg to calm down during her maternity leave. At a worn-down small farm with no internet, surrounded by forest, mountains and sheep, miles away from the cultural duck pond of Oslo, days go slowly by for the small family. Evenings are spent drinking wine and talking with the nearest neighbour, the friend and writer colleague Einar Økland. The World is a Scandal is about happiness, writing, simple life in the country and the search for the perfect crispbread."
