In An Evening With Johnny Johnson the performance artist Kate Pendry entered the stage dressed in a suit, with a series of macho statements.
Johnny Johnson is an average Western heterosexual guy with an average-sized penis and the average guy’s relationship to porn and football. However, his relationship to women – and other men – is dominated by fear and loneliness.
Johnny hammers the cowardly misses who insert silicone in their lips, read glossy magazines and at the same time demand being taken seriously.
Pendry uses Johnny Johnson as a critical spokesman against what she calls some contradictions in today’s post-feminist world. Johnny Johnson represents a world where lack of political correctness and good, old-fashioned discrimination go hand in hand, and where there is still a cultural order that men and women have to be warring.
