The Golden Dragon

"A young Chinese boy has a tooth pulled and finds his family in his own mouth. A young stewardess finds the tooth, and herself. A young girl is kept captured in an apartment directly above the Chinese restaurant. She doesn't know that her brother works in the restaurant, or that he has come to the country to find her.
The play The Golden Dragon is set in a Chinese restaurant. We meet those who work there, and those who eat there. The five actors all play several different roles, in an imaginative and playful theatre form.
The Golden Dragon is about globalisation and culture clashes, but also about the butterfly effect: Small events at the other side of the globe may have large impact here, in Norway.
Director Maren Bjørseth has made a comet career, and has worked for a number of theatres all over the country the past few years. She also works a lot in The Netherlands. To The Golden Dragon, she brings along the German stage designer Katrin Bombe. Torgny Amdam, known as the singer of the rock band Amulet, creates new music for the production."
