The Abandoned Doll
The Abandoned Doll (1979) was a theatre production by Telemark Theatre, based on the text El circulito de tiza o Historia de una muñeca abandonada by Alfonso Sastre. Sastre's play is inspired by Bertolt Brecht's play The Caucasian Chalk Circle.
El circulito de tiza o Historia de una muñeca abandonada means The Small Chalk Circle, or The Story of the Abandoned Doll. This Norwegian production was performed using the title Historien om den forlatte dokka, meaning The Story of the Abandoned Doll. The same play has also been produced in Norway under variations of both titles. This production used the title Den fillete dokka (literally: The raggedy doll).
