Once more – with feeling! by Miriam Prestøy Lie took the audience from Norway’s grandioso coming of age party; the Lillehammer Olympics, to the empty pedestrian streets of today: 13 years after the sports party of all ages two of the volunteers meet in secret to exchange pins. The arena Vikingskipet (the Viking Ship) is empty. The girls have moved away. Stig and Kristian want to experience the adventure over again. The intricate ways of destiny lead the boys on an adventure in which they get unexpected assistance from America. A drama in which life and death is on stake is coming up.
”Dear God, thank you for everything you have given me. Thank you for NASA, YouTube and Tonya Harding. Thank you for 1994, Internet and Discovery Channel. Thank you for Malibu Rehab Centre, Bentein Baardson and mixture for readymade waffles. Thanks for the wood that was cut down, thank you for letting me dream, thank you for Disney World. Thank you for the American Embassy, Richard Sennet, pepper spray and the arena of Håkonshall. Thank you God, for Google and Kerri Strug. But why did you have to close the farm of Råbøl? Why did you have to dry the tears of Oksana Baiul? Why did Justin leave Britney? And where have you hid all the magical creatures? We want it back now. Amen.”
