More

Musika Mobile by Cirka Teater was the story about the travelling circus ringmaster Moldon. His great pride is Musika Mobile, a gigantic musical box on wheels. When the music machine bursts into a peaceful big band concert, there’s tremendous noise.

Musika Mobile was a performance about opposites. Between the worn down theatre company and the polished big band, between the human and the machine, between noise and music, and about what to do when the way to harmony seems impossible.

Musika Mobile had the work title Verkstøy (a wordplay based on the Norwegian words Verktøy = Tool and Støy = Noise) during the production period in 2009.

Musika Mobile by Cirka Teater was supported by and the Norwegian Ministry for Foreign Affairs/MFA (travel grant/performing arts).
