Bachianas Brasileiras – Le Corsaire pas de deux – Act III of Napoli (1966) was a ballet production by The Norwegian National Opera. The production was performed at The Norwegian National Opera’s main stage in Folketeateret, and comprised 3 ballets:
Bachianas Brasileiras, choreographed by Job Sanders to music by Heitor Villa-Lobos.
Le Corsaire pas de deux, choreography by Marius Petipa, music by Riccardo Drigo.
Act III of Napoli, choreography by August Bournonville, music by Niels Wilhelm Gade and Edgar Helsted. This production was re-premiered in 1967, performed together with Maurice Ravel’s opera L’heure espagnole and Apollon Musagète, choreography by George Balanchine, music by Igor Stravinsky.
Act III of Napoli was performed in Dortmund and Bergen in 1967, together with Act II of Swan Lake and Apollon Musagète.
