Symphony in C - Concerto - Ritual
Symphony in C - Concerto - Ritual (1967) was a ballet production by The Norwegian National Opera and Ballet. The production was performed on The Norwegian National Opera’s main stage in Folketeateret, and comprised 3 ballets:
Symphony in C, choreographed by George Balanchine to music by Georges Bizet.
Concerto, choreographed by Joseph Lazzini to music (the Piano Concerto in A minor) by Edvard Grieg.
Ritual, choreography John Butler, music by Gunnar Sønstevold.
In 1968, as part of a performance for young audiences, Symphony in C was performed together with the opera Cavalleria Rusticana by Pietro Mascagni, Giovanni Targioni-Torzzetti and Guido Menasci.
