More about Snow White

"Many children write us about things they are interested in and want Brageteatret to create theatre about. An 11-year-old girl sent us such a letter for a while back, and asked us to perform something about having only a little faith in one self, as she did. But that is what the Snow White fairytale is about, I thought. And so Espen Aukan was onto writing the text for tonight's performance", Terje Hartviksen wrote about Snow White.

Brageteatret's theatre production for families in 2009 was a freshly written version of the story of Snow White. It sprung out of the Brothers Grimm fairytale, but is to a larger degree adjusted to our time and day, and it was directed toward children and adults both.

The theatre production's Snow White has a father who is constantly travelling for business. She is left to a stepmother whose emphasis on looks is extreme, and who is strongly averse to the role of the mother. She flees to find comfort with cave-dwellers - like-minded and weary souls, but hearts of gold.
