Moon Fables by The Puppetry Company Dukkenikkerne:
Far north two men live on each their side of a wide fiord – so wide they can’t hear each other even though they yell the loudest they can!
But the two men in Moon Fables by The Puppetry Company Dukkenikkerne have enough to do to fill their days apart; they cultivate their fields, they fish in the fiord and they go hunting. When the evening comes, the two guys sit on each their stones in each their bank of the fiord.
Despite the large distance between them, they have found strange ways to tell each other stories and tales. When the moon sees its reflection in the silent fiord, time has come for the old stories about houses painted in blue and tents in red. About pink foxes and reindeers fleeing over the mountain plateaus, about funny clouds turning into snow – and weird birds no hunter can hit with his arrow.
Moon Fables is inspired by Hanne Grete Einarsen’s paintings and is a lovely mix of storytelling theatre, outdoors theatre and puppetry spiced with warm humour and imagination-triggering perspectives on life outside the tent.
