More

There is a list of hundred things, being subjects, objects or people, Ivo Dimchev feels connected to in one way or the other. Som Faves is based on some of the favourites on the list. In a room, white as a museum, armed with a wig and a keyboard Ivo Dimchev presents a seemingly incoherent collection of subjects still gradually creating an intimate portrait and a tragicomic demonstration of the many different ways one can treat expression and content within a context of contemporary dance/theatre.

Som Faves has been performed during the festival Tanz-im-August in Berlin; Beursschouwburg in Brussel; Desiré Festival in Subotica in Serbia; Live Art Festival in Hamburg; Fraskati in Amsterdam; Montemor o Novo in Portugal and in Linz 09 in Austria.

Press coverage

"What is the remarkable about Ivo Dimchev? The spectator becomes part of the spectacle. One is never disconnected from what happens onstage, as one so often can be by so many self-centred productions, rather challenged and honoured. What happens is about me, my world, my senses and – in the case of Ivo Dimchev – also about my personal limit for shame."
